Letting Go
For months now, I've been piling up clothes that no longer fit. Most were clothes from my largest days, but some were "interim" clothes. I've hesitated to take that final step of letting them go (they'll be taking so much more with them than fibers), but today is The Day. When Goodwill opens at noon, I will be there.
Me, and my six hefty bags of too-big clothes.

For the record:
2 full- length coats
14 cardigans/sweaters
15 pairs of shorts
50 pairs of pants
90+ shirts/blouses
What's especially sad is that I still have about 40 blouses and a dozen or so pairs of pants to take to a resale shop in a few weeks.
Next up on my lifestyle change agenda is frugality. Until then, I'll focus on the imagined happy faces of too-large women shopping at Goodwill over the next few weeks.

That must be such a great feeling! A lot of women are going to be blessed by that loot!
that is a great feeling- I just sent off some pants!!! I know last time I was lossing weight I acutally shopped at thrift stores abit to get those "in between" clothes with out breaking the bank...then I gave them back once I was out of the size---kinda like "rented" them :)
Feel cleansed with the clothes...
I love to donate-- however it is kinda sad to think how much money I spent on all the items...
wow! that is a lot of clothes. I probably have that many as well. come spring, I wont have any spring or summer clothes because mine will all be too big. what a wonderful thing!
That's a lot of space you've freed up in your closet! Good for you!
Wow, congratulations on taking the big step--and I know lots of ladies out there will appreciate your donation, too :)
My my, aren't you the clothes horse! LOL But seriously, that's awesome! You must feel great to get rid of all that extra baggage.
So much goodness here--good for you for donating and good for you that you have lost , lost and LOST! How's your Feb challenge going? I love that idea..and will be buying that pedometer and start walking! You are very motivating. Thanks! Just what I needed.
Oh my gosh that is the best NSV ever!! Wow, you should be feeling SOOO proud of yourself to have made so much progress that you get to chuck out so many old clothes!
