One link I found as a result of your comments was zafu.com . I'm going to try out their recommendations this weekend! I'll let you know what happens.
Meanwhile, I found a pair "they'll do" jeans. $20 at Cato, size 12(!!!) and...well, they'll do. :) Here's hoping for better than "they'll do" next week.

Sometimes I have to do a double take on the price because I think "that can't be $4.99!" and sure enough it is!
I can't get as much there now as I did before because of my size but I will be able to shop there more in the near future!

That is awesome. The thing is, they're temporary jeans, so "they'll do" is okay for now. :-) Though it is important to be able to wear clothes that make you feel good about the work you've done...so hopefully you'll find some stuff you love.

I think going for they'll do jeans is better. You don't want to grow attached to them and then drop another size. You would be so upset!

"They'll do" jeans kind of suck, but then you have to think about why you need them. That alone can be a good thing.
