HYC Update Week 15

At least, I think it's week 15.

Anyway, I'm updating early, mainly because I have nothing much to report, but also because I really like keeping Tuesdays free to see what all of YOU are doing.

I'm back to a 0.2 loss for this week. I'll gladly take it, of course, but I do wish it had been more. Oh well, I'm going to pull out all the stops and see if I can double it for next week. Heck, I might even go for the triple! LOL

Everything just keeps rolling along on the nutrition and exercise fronts. I keep waiting for a big meltdown or hissy fit, but so far nothing. Welcome to the new normal, Cammy. :)

shinyThis week I plan to order the bicycle (and helmet) I won from myself in February, so I should have a new toy in May. I found a park I didn't know existed (sad, because it's less than a mile from my house!), and I'm thinking it might be a good place to ride my shiny new bike!

Other than that, no big changes on the horizon. Just business as usual.

I'm looking forward to catching up with all of YOUR successes over the next few days! Like I've said before, if you're still here and still trying, you ARE successful!

~

A loss is a loss. :)

I like riding in parks myself. The road is a bit nasty at times.

I happen to think that any loss counts as a loss and you definately deserve that new bike!

Ooh, I like that bike. Mine is still pretty new so I can't reason getting a new one!

.5 is still fantastic. It's unfortunate that it slows down the less we need to lose but I guess that's a good thing!

Your home is lovely too--I love ranches! One day, instead of getting off at the 80S to Iowa to visit my sister in Illinois, I'll be taking the exit to Memphis!

Take care!

A loss is a loss, right? :)

Congratulations! And I'm sure you can triple or quadruple it. Just keep doing what you're doing.

And yay for the bike! I can't wait to start riding again when I come home. I think there was a summer in like, seventh grade, when I rode every day, but it's been ages.

I hope you have a great week! Take care!

A loss is definitely a loss! You're doing so well and being so consistent, you know those numbers are going to keep adding up. And you'll probably have another big loss next week.

Love the bike! That was my reward for 25 pounds down and I still don't get to ride it much. I need to pull it out, air up the tires and get my happy butt on it. Thanks for that reminder! It uses completely different muscles so it's a great workout.

Have a great week and just keep doing what you're doing - cause you're doing it right! :-)

I think you're doing great! And so much fun to read!

I have a bike but I have to take it to the shop and I'm so lazy about doing errands. I was annoyed at my stepdaughter for pointing out we needed more soymilk this morning.

Congrats for the loss - any loss is a loss, as you know.

How exciting about ordering the bike! There is much bike-ness in HYC land. And I've been contemplating getting rid of mine - there just isn't a good place to ride around here. Hmmm. Maybe i should re-think this "getting rid of the bike" plan.

Back to YOU ... Yay for business as usual. Business as usual is a good thing considering how well you've been doing. :-)

Yay for new bikes!! Lovely!!

Don't fret about not knowing there was a park nearby--rejoice that your eyes were suddenly opened to recreational opportunities. I think we see what we're open to seeing, you know? You're open to it, and that's a fantastic sign. :)

It's uncanny how often we're on the same page. I'm itching for and Electra Townie Balloon 8. Featured in the May/June AARP mag, this bike is modeled after city bikes used in Europe, and boasts "flat-foot" technology - meaning you can literally put your feet down while seated. With eight speeds, it's good for hills, and the fat tires ensure a smooth ride.

It's definitely on my "attraction list" and my "vision board."

I am guessing your loss will be huge next week :) but a loss is a loss! I love to bike ride but hate going solo...wish there was someone to ride with around here.

Any loss is great! Keep up the great work and it will continue to come off--slowly at times, but surely none-the-less. Have a great week!

Nice bike. I hope you enjoy riding it. I love riding mine and hope to start doing more riding instead of car riding (especially with gas so high!).
