HYC Update Week 16

Well, You People have done it now! On and on with your constant motivation and inspiration. Your "Way to Go, Cammy" and your "Keep up the great work!" I hope you're all very proud of yourselves!

I lost a cup size! How did this happen? I started out a 46C, which I know is too large, but I really just wanted the number to change. The letter was fine. 'C' for Cammy. See?

This weekend I tried on a 38C and while the 38 part fit, apparently I have plummeted all the way down to a B cup. I mean, fine. I'm happy about the 38, but was it necessary to take away an entire cup size? And to make matter worse, the bra I tried on was...God, I don't know if I can say it...padded.

::pause for uncontrollable sobbing::

I couldn't make myself buy the bra. Not yet.

On the up side *G*, I lost 1.8 pounds last week, for a total of 82.4! I'm pretty sure it was all sweat. Plus, I'm sneezing a lot. And then there's the whole fiber thing. :)

I'm backsliding a little lot on the water intake, and that's an area of focus for the coming week. It's especially important if I'm going to sweat so much in my workouts. I can't be walking around dehydrated. Probably lose another cup size. ::sniffle::

Oh, and speaking of workouts, I downloaded What I Like About You by The Romantics last week, and it is a FANTASTIC song for the elliptical. I almost catapulted myself right off the silly beast while that song was playing. LOL

Another song I downloaded last week was The Biggest Loser theme song, Proud, by Heather Small. This is a rather cheesy admission, but when I was first kicking off this makeover, I would walk on my treadmill every night until the re-run of Season 2 TBL came on the Style Network. I'd hear that theme music from the other room, and I'd feel a kinship with the contestants--we were all working at bettering ourselves.

I had never really listened to the complete lyrics until Saturday morning at the gym, and I did feel proud. Getting up on a Saturday morning and hitting the gym. Planning a healthy breakfast after my workout. I felt great! Huge smile on my face!

And then I heard this part:
Still so many answers I don't know
Realise that to question is how we grow
So I step out of the ordinary
I can feel my soul ascending
I am on my way

And suddenly, tears were streaming down my cheeks. For the first time, I think, it dawned on me that I am freaking doing this. I've been so focused on putting one foot in front of the other, so to speak, that I hadn't really taken it all in. I am on my way!

We are all on our way. It's not always pretty, rarely ever easy, but always moving us toward a better life. I'm truly blessed to be on the journey with you.

Despite your contribution to the loss of my cup size. :)

Happy Monday (or Tuesday), everyone!

(with apologies to Andrew and Jim *G*)

Me, TOO, Cammy-Boo. I lost a cup size, too! Sort of a bummer, but not really, as soon as you realize you can get back into blouses that no longer gap open across the buzooms.

You're a rock star, Kiddo! And you'll never, ever know how much I appreciate all your sweet comments over at Ready Maid. (Sniff.)

Oh Cammy, they always say that's what goes the fastest. I'm hoping I can maintain my C. I realize that is one of the parts of my body I don't really have problems with.

I hope you have a great week!

I just wanted you to know that I'm quoting you on my blog today! Maybe it will help you as you mourn the loss of your "cuppage"!!! lol

I'm up in my cups, ha ha, and long to be back in my 36 C's. I like the girls at that size because of my build (everyone is different).

After years of wearing G's and F's those felt like a dream! (I'm in the D's now, yecch!)

F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. on the weight loss too!

If my butt gets smaller, thats great, but I really can't afford to lose anything up top!! I really wasn't given much to start with!!

Honey, you forgot the next line of that song, which I think is REALLY appropriate...

"Can't stop me now!" There is NO stopping you now! :-)

Oh yeah, and the line after that is "And you can do the same..." You are TOTALLY inspiring, and I love that we're all doing this together. I love that there are so many people on the same path but everyone doing it differently and at different stages...yet all SO together and supportive. I'm with you...I think we've all been very blessed this group of folks.

I love cheesy. Cheesy is good. :-) (BTW, I bought the whole Biggest Loser soundtrack last year and Proud has been in my workout playlist since then - it's my cooldown song because by then, I really feel it. It's a great song.)

Condolences on the cup size...I do feel your pain. It's the seedy underbelly of Weight Loss Success City. :-(

And last but CERTAINLY not least, way to go on your loss! (The 1.8 pounds, not the cup size.) That is awesome. There really is no stopping you now!

V.

LOL!

I wish I could lost a cup size. Being a 38D is not really what I am looking for in life. I would love to be a 34C. For my body type, that would be perfect.

You should be happy. When your body is at it's most wonderful, you will find that your new breastsize will be perfect for it.

You ARE doing it, girl - with sass and style!

They say we always lose the weight where we least need/want to. Your 'girls' may be smaller, but they're a lot healthier now!

You made me feel like crying. Crying is good for us right!

The song made you tear up and your post made ME tear up. GO CAMMY GO! My girls refuse to shrink and my hubby I think is the cause...he prays every night for me to keep them while I pray to lose them. Seriously a DD is really too much (contrary to my hubby's beliefs) and though my numbers are going down the letters remain. I will share mine with you LOL!

I've totally started losing my "cuppage" so I feel ya girl! Thanks for the music suggestions...here's where I admit I downloaded "Proud" a while back. I feel so cheesy, but it does make me SO happy when I'm listening to it and thinking of the obstacles that I, and the people on TBL have overcome! Have a great week!

I haven't started losing my cuppage yet, but I wouldn't doubt that it's coming. Sorry for your loss in cups, but congrats for your loss in pounds!

Ug. You can have some of mine, I have it to spare. I'm still in DDD or DDs.

I would KILL to get down to a C cup. B is probably out of the question.

Why is it that the first place we lose is the chest? Just doesn't seem fair. ;-) Your attitude is amazing and you ARE doing it. Congrats on your continued determination!

My favorite motivational music is Skinny Songs. The whole cd is sooo much fun. She has some fun shirts on her website, too. skinnysongs.com

(and don't feel bad about the guys, I mean - how would they feel if they lost a cup size? ;) )

I'll be right there with you soon I'm afraid.. my cups are no longer quite as filled as they once were *sigh*

The Biggest Loser song has brought tears to my eyes several times so you aren't alone in that, my friend! You should feel so darn proud of yourself! You've seriously kicked some butt!

Losing the cup size... Don't you hate it?!

Hey Thanks for the song ideas, I'm in search of creating a good running mix. :)

I start the Couch to 5K tomorrow! Thanks for asking!

I'm right there with ya. Whenever I lose weight, it's always my bust size that suffers. I'm happy to get the weight off, just wish it would come off the hips or thighs first instead.

What an incredible journey you're on. Very inspiring. Congrats on losing yet more, even if it was in a spot you didn't want it to leave. I guess we just have to keep focused on the big (or should I say little) picture.

Have a great week!

I mourn the loss of my cups as well! I want to lose everything but those. But I guess that we have to lose proportionally, yes? I love what you said about realizing that you really are changing your life and body for good. We really are doing it! And your positive support is such a blessing to me. Thank you for all of that - can't wait to come out on the other side with you!

Oh yeah, I read your fiber post on a bad day and had a good laugh at the puns, so thanks. :) Keep it up--except the cup loss!

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of the cup size. I understand it's importance. Have you been professionally fitted? Maybe you didn't lose that much. I was fitted last year when I had joined WW only to find out I had been wearing the wrong size bra pretty much forever. I went in one size and walked out a smaller number but larger cup size. It was the best feeling! So even though your girls may be smaller (80+ lbs has to come from all places) maybe they don't need the padded cup?

On a totally different note, I have added you to the May Exercise challenge. And you got it, it is a weekly check in sharing your results. Basically more accountability. We will also have an exercise to add to whatever exercise you are already doing. I haven't posted the blog yet but will later this week so that everyone can vote on which part they want to work for the challenge. Email me if I've totally confused you :). Glad you're joining us!
