Follow-ups and a meme
Thank you for all the kind messages yesterday. Your support has meant so much, and I don't say that nearly often enough.
V., I'm definitely shooting for the 100. If I never get there, I'm okay with that, but this close to it (4.2 pounds), I've got to go for it. :)
Miss Merry Mary tagged me with this meme. I'm not so good at these things, but it's interesting to think about:
What’s something you’d love to say to your younger selves of 2, 5, 10, and 15 years ago? (Doesn’t necessarily have to be the same thing each time.)
2 years ago:
I was trying to get this fitness thing going (again), struggling, struggling.
"Stay on the treadmill. You won't always be stuck at 1.8 miles per hour."
5 years ago:
Thanks to a toxic-type friend, I wasn't feeling so good being me.
"What you do is not who you are. You have value."
10 years ago:
I picked up a copy of Anne Lamott's Bird by Bird.
"This book will change your life. You have a writer inside you. Get out of her way."
15 years ago:
I had lost 40 pounds, but after getting frustrated with a plateau (at 170, for crying out loud), I was slowly putting weight back on.
"You don't have to be thin. Focus on healthy."
Well, that was fun. :)
I'm not tagging anyone. If you want to play, let me know where to find your answers.

It's always interesting to have a look back in the past isn't it?

AfrigginMAZING.

Go for the gold, gal! 100 would be awesome since you've come this far. You amaze me at your accomplishments! I'm so proud of you.
Cammy--you always make me think. Your quote about "it's not what you do. You have value..." resonates with me right now. Thanks :)
That was a cool look at the younger Cammy.
I saw your comment on Thinking Thin's blog and am wondering where I can find that rule book ;)
Oh! I hate that I've been out of town, I've missed soo much! I love this meme- what an interesting exercise. All those things you said to your younger selves can all apply now.
95lbs! Holy Smokes! You are my hero. :)
I do believe I'll do this one...lots to say to my UsedToBeMe. :-)
I'd say "you can do it" (on the 100) but that's just stating the oh-so-obvious. So instead I'll say I can't WAIT to celebrate that bling with you! :-)
V.
I nominated you for a blog award... go check out my new post :)
BTW, I'm dealing with a toxic friendship right now, and not really knowing what to do with it. Okay, that's a lie. I know what to do. I just don't have the guts to do it.
"you have a writer inside of you. get out of her way" is one that I needed to tell myself a few years ago when me and my writer self drifted apart. That reunion was possibly one of the happiest days of my life.
You have come so far and achieved so much, its wonderful!
Thanks for sharing!
I love your answers - thanks for doing it!
Oh, and definitely go for the 100. You are so close! You can totally do it. :)
a blast from the past... fun! i'm going to have to think about that. i'll let you know if it makes it from the head to the keyboard.
Congrats on the major bling! that is SOOOOO amazing! you are an inspiration! thanks!
Anne Lamott's Bird by Bird is a very significant book for me too. I received it from a friend who said that she was constantly rebuying it because she kept giving her copy away. Since then, I've bought and given it away too many times to count. I knew I recognized a kindred spirit in you! :)

PS: Though I'm a bit late getting to it, please accept my congrats on your 95lb loss. Seriously, if you lose much more weight, Cammy, there won't be any more of you left for us to love! :)
