Greetings, and welcome to the weekend!
Thanks for the well wishes for my grandmother. She came through the “procedure” well and was scheduled to have her gall bladder removed later today. Unfortunately, she developed a slight fever, and the surgery was postponed. She feels pretty good, though, and that counts for a lot.
Busy weekend for me, starting with the Juvenile Diabetes walk on Saturday a.m. I intend to get there about an hour early and ride my bike. My goal is to get 10 miles on the bike and 3 miles on foot before leaving the park, but it really depends on what my family needs from me tomorrow. And, of course, how well my feet and legs hold up. LOL
Sunday will, I hope, start with more biking. I’m thinking I should ride for pancakes this week. Maybe with peanut butter on top if I get the 10 miles in less than an hour.
Other than that, I have a gajillion-and-two things on the to-do list. I hope to get the “two” part accomplished at least.
Before I get back to work, I wanted to remind everyone of BlogActionDay, October 15, during which bloggers from around the world will join together to blog about a single topic. This year’s topic is poverty, and I’m sure all of you have lots to say about that. Please check it out and consider joining in for a very unique and rewarding experience.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
