11 Healthy-ish Recipes (and a Bonus Link)

Happy 11/11/11! And more importantly, Happy Veterans Day to any military-types who might be reading. We thank you for your service.

And I thank you all so much for your responses in the getting to know you post! You really are the most amazing people! (Something I’ll remember before I do another one of those. It’s bad when every single person is far more interesting than the hostess. Just sayin’. :) ) If you have a few minutes, you might enjoy seeing who you hang out with by reading the comments from that post.

But today is all about 11! To celebrate this auspicious calendar occasion, I have prepared for you a listing of 11 healthy-ish recipes I bookmarked recently:

Bananas Foster Style Cottage Cheese -3 ingredients and a skillet; that’s my kind of recipe!

Lemon Cheesecake Cheese Ball – Lemon, cream cheese, a smidge of sugar and graham crackers. Sounds divine to me.

Frozen Banana Bites – PB&B&Chocolate&Coconut – you don’t have to ask me twice!

Hummingbird Cake Smoothie – Cake in a cup? What could go wrong?

LowFat Irish Soda Bread – I may try this one next week for some toasty breakfast treats.

Apple Slaw with Honey Mustard Dressing – I love slaw; I love apples. This one may make the roster soon, too.

Grilled Chicken with Chipotle Orange Glaze
– I’ve made this without the chipotles and can’t wait to try it with them! The next one looks even better.

Spicy Pecan-crusted Chicken – Chicken + Pecans + Orange + Chipotle = ??? But I intend to find out.

Buttermilk Banana Bread – I’ll try this one soon for Christmas-giving-worthiness. And because I’d like some banana bread. :)

Apple Harvest Cake – I can almost smell the apples and cinnamon now.

Apple Cheddar Salad with Walnuts – Perfect for the Cammy-stirs! Collection. I’ll be having this for lunch today. Oh wait, I ate the last of the walnuts yesterday. Oh well, maybe next week.

  2. Wow, what a collection. I’m all in on the chicken ones, they made me crave chicken badly! Which is a good thing, since I was kind of getting bored of all the chicken I’ve eaten lately.. Thanks!
