My Top Ten: Posts and Such

I don’t blog for SEO and statistics, so I don’t generally pay much attention to them. I do check now and then, but once I see that people are still reading, I close the window lest I get a numbers headache.

In working on a client project the other day, I had to rummage around his website statistics so I decided to dig a little deeper into my own. Here’s what I learned.

I appreciate any and all referrals and links and wanted to give these bloggerwomen a special shout-out for sending so many folks my way! I enjoy their blogs and encourage you to give them a read if you haven’t already. If you think you can handle even more great reads, I have a list of more favorites on my Links I Like page.

In my statistical wanderings, I also discovered some odd-to-me search terms:
– chef statues
– pancake cats (???)
– topless bicycle exercise videos (I never!)
– two oxen pull 25,000 pounds (ah! the parable!)
– vidio didugel (not a clue)
– what is the least I can do to get fit? (terrific, just what I want to be known for!)
– what kind of lizards be in Memphis? (our schools are not the greatest, but the answer to the question is BIG lizards!)

And finally, I learned that not one single person in Papua New Guinea has visited my blog this year. It must have been something I wrote last year.

I also discovered that review posts are very popular, which is a good thing because I have a new one coming up later this week!

Hope you’re all having a great week!

  1. Stats can be fascinating and I’m glad you put the link to blogs you generally keep up with.

No wonder I haven’t received one of your pertinent, pithy and encouraging comments for yonks! I moved my weight loss journey over to here I found I needed a break from my main journal and of course the inevitable has happened …. my tracker has become a journal.

Do pop in sometime. I’m rapt with my progress this year. I feel as though I’ve cracked a very hard nut.

    • MargieAnne! Thank you for letting me know where to find you! I’m so happy you’re making progress again!

  2. Now I’m curious about my stats. Normally I don’t care about that stuff, but you’ve made it sound so interesting!

  3. Wow, what fun to be included in that list of Top Referring Sites. I love finding new blogs to read based on referrals from those that are already my favorites!! Since mine is both a healthy living/weight loss and travel blog, if anyone links to it right now, be aware that’s its pretty focused on travel. I’m in the midst of a six-week roadtrip!! But healthy living and weight loss stuff is thrown in and once I’m back home, that’s where the focus will return!

Hope Cammy is having a good week! Still waiting for my Five Guys lifetime gift card for being the first to correctly identify it as one of your clients. Let’s play that game again!!!

  4. Fun! I wonder if I can figure this out about my own blog. Hmmm.

  5. I try to not look at stats too much either… may depress me with how much time I put into that blog! 😉

I see a couple not known to me bloggers on your list so must check that out…..

I was quite intrigued by some of your stats! 😉

  6. I love stats because I am geeky that way. I also love, love to look at what search terms are used because they really make me laugh. I still get a ton for ‘addicted to oatmeal’ and ‘squat queen’! 😀

I am glad my site is a big referrer for you. You should have lots of traffice.

  7. I don’t care about stats either, I blog as an outlet mostly. :) Going to check out those refererrrrrs of yours :)

  8. I think some of the stats on my blog (and well as the insane search terms) are interesting…but like you, I don’t pay a whole lot of attention. WHAT???? NO readers in Papau New Guinea???? ALL of my readers are from there! silly…. Have a great day Cammy!

  9. The search terms were hilarious! Did you know there’s apparently a fetish for looking at ladies in yoga pants? I didn’t – until I started my blog. Fabulous. I guess some dudes are going to be disappointed when they click my link and realize I’m 231 pounds and there are no pics of my big butt. LOL I love your blog. Keep it up!
