Life Lessons from Zig Ziglar: A Baker’s Dozen

Motivational speaker Zig Ziglar died yesterday at the age of 86. His books and motivational speeches inspired millions, and while he was primarily known for his work in the corporate world, his words were uplifting to me on a personal level. By way of small tribute, I’ll share a baker’s dozen of favorite Zig Ziglar quotes I’ve saved over the years:

Inspirational Quotes from Zig Ziglar

Rest in peace, Mr. Ziglar. Thank you for inspiring me to always strive to “see the reaching”.

  1. His passing is big news here, since he was local. When I was younger, I thought all the positive-thinking was a bunch of hogwash. I now know I was wrong. Zig had it right all along.

  2. I remember when we had to go through pastor classes when we were engaged and the Mr was having work stress issues and the pastor gave us a Zig Ziglar series to listen to. We thought it was hokey at the time (I was 20, what do you expect? LOL) but he ended up taking some good lessons from it. RIP ZZ!

  3. Thanks for sharing the great words of Zig Ziglar. I’ve been reading his latest (and last) book and found it sort of ironic that he predicted he might not be around to write another one.

Zig will be sadly missed, but luckily for us his words of wisdom and inspiration will live on forever.
