Expectations of Amazement

I love mornings for the promise they hold. In the early stillness, I know that the day has the potential to be amazing, that there might be moments that take my breath away and that I will be humbled by my blessings more than once.

Some days have wrinkles and bits of fluff that get in the way–not helpful to the goal of an amazing day. When that happens, as it often does, I remind myself: I am enough, I have enough, and I see what I believe. I believe today will be amazing.

Sometimes these expectations of amazement backfire a little. I wake up bursting with energy and ready to get down to business…and then I look at the clock to find that it’s 3 a.m. I’m not sure how much “amazing” I have in me at 3 a.m., but I’m going to roll with it and see what I can get done.

Wishing you an amazing ridiculously amazing day!

  1. Thanks Cammy 😀 For me and amazing day today would be one without any bumps in it. That would be a very good start to the week!

  2. I’m not enough of a morning person to think that clearly that early. I’m just game for getting up and getting functional; the motivation comes maybe 1-1.5 hours later. LOL

  3. LOL. I woke up at 5am, and was thinking, “just go with it.” I do like being awake before everybody else. Its always quiet here where I live. But its super quiet at that time.

    But 3am??? That’s not right!

Hope your day was amazing Cammy!

  4. It was an amazing. Had an awesome hike with friends on a great trail. My longest and hardest since getting back from Florida so I feel a great sense of accomplishment. After a hot shower, am basking on the sofa with a heating pad on my back (just because it feels good) and with Bill at a meeting until late, I expect there will shortly be some napping. P.S. I thought about you when I drove by the EconoLodge in Pigeon Forge today.

  5. I had such a tough morning this morning…I had to force myself on to the elliptical machine but I’m so glad I did because those endorphins have helped me have a much better day that I otherwise would have…sometimes you have to force your morning to be amazing!

  6. I too love mornings – my favorite time of day! It’s a fresh start and all is well with the world at that time of day – I am filled with hope for a beautiful day!

  7. I am a morning person too. Funny thing is I used to stay up way too late and party. Those days are over and am all about taking care of my self now.
