Weekend Closeout

Hmm, that sounds like I’m having a sale, doesn’t it? :)

No sale, but I am celebrating the weekend’s arrival. After such a busy week, it will be great to…oh wait, I’ll be doing the same things that I did during the week. I might need to re-think this self-employment thing.

Rockstars of the Week - Tippy Toe DietLet’s shout out to a few runners this week:
Fran (Dutch Girl is Healthy) ran her first 5k of the year, risking life and limb to run on a trail (from my POV–I can barely walk on a trail!) Way to go, Fran!

Shelley (My Journey to Fit) ran a half-marathon last week! Her goal was to not finish last and she DIDN’T–not even close! (And here I thought I was the only one who had goals like that. :)) Awesome job, Shelley! My calves ache just thinking about it.

Katrin (Go Goggy Go) didn’t run a race last week. In fact, she didn’t have a very good running session at all thanks to some knee pain. But did she let that stop her? NO! She jumped on her recumbent bike (after she found alternate storage for the clothes that were on it :) ) and got in a good workout anyway! Way to show that never-give-up spirit, Katrin! I hope your knee feels better soon and that you’re able to run enough to keep you happy!

I had a good week, but no real rockstar moments. The closest I came was this morning, when I didn’t bounce a dumbbell off of a guy’s head for stealing my cable station at the gym. :)

And that brings us to YOU! Did you have any rockstar moments you want to brag about this week? C’mon, don’t be shy.

Happy weekend, everyone!

  1. I love your shoutouts!!!! So cool! Really loved your comment about the guy at the gym! 😉 I GET THAT!

    Have a great weekend!!

OH – GREAT leg workout Thursday!!!!

  2. Cheers to all your shout outs! I’ve been struggling for a long time and finally had a successful first week on a new plan. I am trying to eat whole foods and limit sugar, grains, dairy, legumes and my beloved Diet Mountain Dew. 9 lbs gone this week and hoping to build on that momentum. Have a great week!

  3. Great job to all the rock stars! Running can be one of the most challenging and emotionally draining physical activities and also the most freeing and rewarding. Good for them!!
