The first thing you need to know is that those are not my feet. I have big bony, country girl feet that are not suitable for a blog header. So I bought some cute feet and am much happier for doing so.
The second thing you need to know is that most–okay, ALL–of my medical knowledge comes from Reader’s Digest so you might want to check in with your doctor before you try anything you read here. Rest assured, though, that all of my knowledge about obesity and slothfulness comes from personal experience.
Okay, with that out of the way, let’s talk about me some more. As my side bar indicates, I was on the diet cycle for many, many, many years. I think I tried every diet plan and quick fix out there and just wasn’t able to find anything I could do in any lasting way.
So after years of trying, failing, trying, failing, trying failing, I finally discovered a successful path to losing 100 pounds, a path that required slow, gradual changes. On The Tippy Toe Diet I share my triumphs and trials, joys and, well, it’s mostly joys. I haven’t really had many non-joys.
You’re welcome to read my blog from start to finish, but if you’re looking for a couple of posts that summarize my success formula, check out these links:
One of the things I realized (finally!) in this process was that there is no “there”. I’ll always be tweaking and striving and trying different things as I continue to learn the world of maintenance living. I hope you’ll join me as I learn to live fit and free!
